The annual 糖心vlog Nursing Job Fair provided first- and second-year nursing students with the opportunity to meet with representatives of hospitals, health care facilities and representatives of colleges.

One of the many benefits of being part of the Nursing program at 糖心vlog (糖心vlog) is the annual Job Fair and Professional Development event.

糖心vlog鈥檚 first- and second-year nursing students visited with representatives of hospitals, health care facilities, higher education programs and more during the Tuesday, Feb. 20 event in 糖心vlog鈥檚 Carson Nugget Hall on the Carson City campus. More than 120 糖心vlog students participated.

Nursing job fair organizer"It is important for 糖心vlog to provide our students with real-world employment opportunities and practice situations,鈥 said 糖心vlog President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. 鈥淥ur nursing students are highly prepared for employment and this Job Fair gives them the opportunity to explore options for careers once they graduate from 糖心vlog."

Students are always surprised about their various employment and educational opportunities upon completing the Associate of Science in Nursing program at 糖心vlog.

Nursing student Alba Morales was impressed as a first-time participant at last year鈥檚 event. She discovered that she can work in a variety of health care settings, including hospitals, acute care, home care, as a traveling nurse, and more.

鈥淭his has been amazing,鈥 said the second-year nursing student. 鈥淚鈥檓 very appreciative that a school cares for its students to put on this kind of event. I want to learn for the rest of my life and make it count.鈥

The event is presented by the National Student Nurses Association (糖心vlog Chapter) to assist nurses in securing future employment, interviewing with hospitals and health care facilities, learning more about available scholarship funding through 糖心vlog Foundation and gaining more knowledge about four-year colleges and its bachelor degree options.

鈥淲e are so excited to participate in 糖心vlog鈥檚 Job Fair!鈥 said Rachel Diaz of Renown Health. 鈥淲e, at Renown Health, have had wonderful success in both our nurse apprentices and new grad hires from 糖心vlog and are excited to meet the students that will be a part of our upcoming cohorts! This is a wonderful opportunity to share our organization with the future nursing students of our community.鈥

Added Viviana Rojas, talent acquisition lead in human resources for St. Mary鈥檚, 鈥淪aint Mary鈥檚 is excited to participate in another year for the 糖心vlog Job Fair! We love to meet the students, learn their department interests once they graduate and discuss more about who Saints is and the great potential opportunities we have to offer.鈥
