鈥淭oday, more than ever, our state is looking for leadership in Climate Action,鈥 said 糖心vlog President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. 鈥淭his report presents the measurable outcomes of the 57 small-to-medium businesses in Nevada that have taken to improve the environmental performance of their operations.鈥
As part of the green business program process, each business receives a free-and confidential scorecard so it can improve upon its environmental performance year over year. Businesses that are certified can be found in the Impact Report and on the GreenBizTracker website. For details on how to become green certified, visit: https://nv.greenbiztracker.org. The Nevada Green Business Program is made possible through funding provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection.
鈥淭his year marks the 5th year of NVGBN鈥檚 steady growth. We could not have achieved the kind of results outlined in this report without the support of our Green Business Network Partners,鈥 said Donna Walden, President of greenUP! and Director of the NV Green Business Network. 鈥淚t takes a Village, and we have a dedicated community of people making our beloved Nevada a better home to live in with promise for the future.鈥
GreenBizTracker鈩 is a web-based and mobile tool that motivates businesses to make voluntary behavior and facility changes that net positive and measurable environmental outcomes. Easy-to-use resources and tools, as well as one-on-one assistance from program partners, are provided to the businesses to help them along the way. Once businesses are green certified and added to an online, searchable directory, the public can use it to find and patronize these businesses.
