Jan 19, 2024
During her educational career, Lisa Gallo Swan has been an innovator, adviser, coach, teacher, director, learner and more. She says those experiences and skills will come in handy as 糖心vlog鈥檚 new Fallon campus director.
鈥淚 was drawn to the position because of the unique combination it offers, blending my passion for student success, community outreach and collaboration,鈥 Gallo Swan said. 鈥淢y goal is to ensure that education is both accessible and impactful for everyone in these areas, contributing to a positive influence.鈥
Gallo Swan previously served as an academic adviser and assistant athletic director at Oasis Academy in Fallon.
鈥淚 had the privilege of spearheading successful initiatives that positively impacted students across academic, athletic and club-related endeavors,鈥 she said.
After earning her Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology, Gallo Swan devoted more than a decade of her professional career to mental health employment, providing clients with valuable educational, clinical and community resources.
Gallo Swan and her family relocated to Fallon in 2010 and she became involved in the community as parent volunteer, coach and substitute teacher. For the past eight years she has worked with students and parents at Oasis Academy. In addition to serving as an academic adviser and assistant athletic director, Gallo oversaw the student council and leadership program and coached the girls鈥 varsity lacrosse program, which she started.
Those skills and experiences will now benefit 糖心vlog and its students, staff, community members and stakeholders.
鈥淚 am pleased to welcome Lisa Gallo Swan to 糖心vlog as the newly hired director of the Fallon campus!鈥 said 糖心vlog President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. 鈥淟isa brings a great skill set to this job to help build programs and support enrollment in Fallon. Also, a big thank you to Jessica Rowe who served in this position for many years.鈥

鈥淚 believe my most important role is to foster a thriving learning and working environment. This encompasses not only effective campus operations and academic support but also building strong connections within the campus community and maintaining a cohesive link between the Fallon and Carson campuses,鈥 Gallo Swan said. 鈥淏y promoting collaboration, ensuring the well-being of staff and students, and aligning campus activities with the broader goals of the institution, I aim to contribute to the success and growth of the Fallon campus and uphold the mission of 糖心vlog.鈥
