Looking toward graduation, many important choices will determine the kind of life that lies ahead. Will you attend college? Will you go directly into a job? College credits can help you get ahead in whatever path you choose.

CTE College Credit Program offers a head start to a technical career with higher wages and with jobs that are in high demand. Employers seek workers with strong skills in the technical fields.

CTE College Credit classes count as electives for high school graduation, as well as for college credits!

Who is Eligible?

High school students who recieve the Nevada Department of Education Certificate of Skill Attainment may qualify for college credit. To be eligible you must:

  1. Complete the CTE program 3-year or 2-year sequence with a B average or higher.
  2. Pass the State End-of-Program Technical Skill Assessment.
  3. Pass the State Workplace Readiness Skills Assessment.
  4. Enroll in a credit bearing course at 糖心vlog.

Note: Nevada Department of Education is restructuring high school CTE Programs of Study to increase access an opportunity for all students to participate in CTE Programs of Study. Most CTE Programs of Study will transition from a 3-year program to a 2-year program. There may be changes to assessments that may impact articulation agreements and a student's eligibility to earn free CTE College Credit.
